A great scholarly looking paperback of 601 pages this volume produces no definite advice for those keen to find an answer to the overweight problem.
The very last page, the very last paragraph: "The scientific obligation, as I said in the prologue, is to establish the cause of obesity, diabetes, and the chronic diseases of civilization beyond reasonable doubt."
And this book indicates that science simply has not yet done that.
It suggests that carbohydrates, sugar and insulin are probably the major causes of obesity. As simple as that. And I'm inclined to agree.
A very interesting read.
