Looks like a good one. But I didn't get a chance to get into it yet. Making this non-review in order to simply 'place mark' it for future attention.
It's a soft back A4 format 'dummies' book. Opens good and flat for study, lovely. Print nice and clear.
It says you need some calculus, need to be able to perform integration and deal with differential equations and should, ideally, have some experience with Hilbert space.
If they say it then it's probably true but I'm thinking the book will be rewarding reading even without those abilities.
They're not abilities I have but I'll give it a go next time I lay my hands on it. If nothing else, as with so many things I've found, just reading the book's index and dipping into each chapter enough to get a feel for what it is about rewards you with an overview of the subject. Some grasp of what the hell it is rather than the total ignorance one might have had before.
I've got it down as a definite 'must read'.
