A Couple Of Good Ones.

Haven't had the time or inclination recently ( year? or two? ) to post anything here but I've read a lot of good books during that time.

I'll see if I can remember any of them - the last two, certainly:

I Contain Multitudes Ed Yong. About bacteria and their ubiquity, their nature, their significance, importance.

The Gene Siddhartha Mukherjee. This contains amongst all the other stuff an account of Swyer's Syndrome where the whole physical body of a person, each cell, has a chromosomal identity of the 'wrong' kind - i.e. not fitting their apparent sex. Very interesting account and much more complete than many found on the web such as the us national library of medicine page I've just been looking at. Needs to be read again and absorbed this whole book.

But then, so do all the books I mention. That's how come I mention them.

A number of books by Thomas Sowell

A Dangerous Method About Jung and Freud - the book of the movie apparently.
