Pages a good thick matt finish paper. Good 'traditional' type feel to them. They don't lay open completely but they nearly do with a wide enough gutter that you can read easily and it doesn't take much to keep them open. Probably after some wear they'll soften and lay open.

It could become a sort of 'reference' work inasmuch as it is full of interesting insights and observations, facts, about translating that one would want to refer back to it from time to time for that information and just for the pleasure of reading it again.

It turns out Translating books, or texts, is not as straightforward as we may have thought and sometimes it is downright impossible.

This book is beautiful. It gives a clear and interesting look into this fascinating world and really widens your mental horizons on this subject. It is fascinating.

A beauty.
