Dragon Bone Hill
'An Ice Age Saga of Homo Erectus'
Noel Boaz and Russell L Ciochon
Oxford University Press 2004
A lovely book. Fascinating. Well told. Started out a bit draggingly for me with all this stuff about the actual 'dragon bone hill' in China and I thought we were in for a long exposition of the bone fragments found at that site.
But no, that's merely the starting place, a point of introduction. It then goes on to range across the globe and do what it says: tell the saga of homo erectus who walked the earth for more than 1.5million years. How's them apples?
Needs another, better, slower read.
